Spend more time on the road and less at the pump with
Volkswagen’s TDI Clean Diesel engine technology. Here’s how this powerful and
ultra-efficient engine works: as the cylinders in the engine move downward,
they draw in fresh air. Then, as they move upward, they compress the air very
quickly. This rapid compression causes the air to heat up, at which point the
injectors spray a fine mist of fuel into the super-heated cylinder, causing an explosion,
which propels the engine.
The end result: lower fuel consumption, lower emissions, and
uncompromised torque.
